A tour of VEIRA EQ

VEIRA EQ with seven bands, the spectrum analyzer, input and output meters, and the band and dynamics controls.
  1. The whole of VEIRA EQ

VEIRA EQ gives you up to 24 bands, any of which can react to the music: a bell or shelf can compress or expand its own range above a threshold, keyed from the track or a sidechain. The filters are matched to their analog response and add no latency, and a spectrum analyzer, input and output meters and loudness in LUFS show exactly what each move does.

  2. Click to add a band

Up to 24 bands: click the graph to add one and drag it into place. Each band has its own colour, the amber line is the total, and the analyzer behind it reads in dBFS with a 4.5 dB/oct tilt.

  3. Bands that move with the music

Any bell or shelf can be dynamic. It cuts or lifts only when its frequency range crosses the threshold. The shaded area is its range, the dashed line the static setting, and the solid curve what it is doing right now.

  4. Dynamics with a key

Compress or expand, set threshold, ratio, range, attack and release, and key the band from its own input or a sidechain. The key meter shows the detector level against the threshold, and the live change in dB.

  5. Six shapes, exact values

Bell, shelves, cuts from 6 to 96 dB/oct and a notch, with frequency in Hz or kHz, gain in dB and Q on every band. The filters are matched to their analog response and add no latency.

  6. Hear it at the same loudness

IN and OUT peak meters in dBFS, with short-term and integrated loudness in LUFS and the difference in LU, so a boost never wins just by being louder.

Everything it does

Up to 24 bands

It opens with a low cut, low shelf, two bells, a high shelf and a high cut. Click the graph to add another band anywhere.

Dynamic bands

Any bell or shelf can compress or expand above a threshold, with its own band-limited detector and an internal or sidechain key.

Analog-matched, zero latency

Filters are matched to their analog curves right up to the top of the spectrum, with no added latency. Cuts run from 6 to 96 dB/oct.

An analyzer with scales

The spectrum reads in dBFS with a 4.5 dB/oct tilt, against labelled Hz and dB scales, with read-outs wherever you hover.

Metering with units

IN and OUT peaks in dBFS, short-term and integrated LUFS to EBU R128, and the OUT − IN difference in LU.

70 factory presets

Fourteen folders, from vocals and drums to mix bus and mastering, plus your own presets.
